Sunderland RCA entertained bottom club Penrith in this, the last match of the season. Penrith have had a bit of a torrid season but seemed to have turned the corner in the last few months culminating in reaching the Cumberland  Cup final on the 30th April.

The RCA management team were forced into making two changes with both Larkin and K Davis suffering injuries in Tuesday night’s victory against Seaham Red Star. Charlton and Moan replaced the injured pair in the starting line up.

The two sides lined up as follows:

Sunderland RCA: Patterson, Lilley, Lavery, Preston, Swansbury (c), Elliott,  Charlton, Page, O’Neill, Moan, McAloon. Subs: Elliott, McAloon, Kyle Davis, Moan, Lilley.

Penrith: Forrester, Hebson, Paul, Law, Eleftheriadis, Johnson, J Brown, Moynan, M Brown, Lee,  Holliday. Subs: Shields, Hayton.

Sunderland RCA welcomed near neighbours Seaham Red Star to Meadow Park for this penultimate game of the season.

Injuries once again forced changes to the RCA line up. Howard and Davison both injured in the defeat at Guisborough were replaced by Lilley and McAloon. Larkin was switched to a centre forward role to allow McAloon to play on the left wing.

The teams lined up as follows:

Sunderland RCA:  Patterson, Lilley, Lavery, Preston, Swansbury ©, Page, K Davis, Elliott, Larkin, O’Neill, McAloon. Subs: Moan, Croft, Callen, Davison , Charlton.

Seaham Red Star: Bannon, Young, J Hailes, Gardiner, Myers, Gillesphey, Taylor, Kerr, Wilson, Robinson ©, Chilton. Subs: D Hailes, Henderson, Clarke, Greenwood, Wilkinson.

Prior to the match there was a minute's silence, impeccably observed by the 100 supporters, to remember Ernie Carlin and Bryan Mayhew who sadly past away recently. Bryan was a past Chairman at Seaham Red Star while Ernie held a similar position at RCA. They will both be sadly missed by the respective clubs.

Sunderland RCA travelled to the King George V ground to play Guisborough Town in this Ebac Northern League encounter.

The RCA management team made 2 changes to the side that drew against North Shields eleven days ago, Dylan Elliott returning to the side following an ankle injury replacing Michael Charlton and Jordan Lavery replacing Sam Lilley at left back.

Sunderland RCA welcomed North Shields to Meadow Park for this Ebac Northern League encounter, RCA were looking to continue their recent impressive form of 8 wins in 9 games while in stark contrast North Shields were looking to stop a string of defeats.

RCA management team made three changes to the side that won against Newton Aycliffe at the weekend, Preston replaced the injured Hodgson, Lilley came in for the injured Lavery and Larkin returned in place of Moan.

Stephen Callen returned to occupy a place on the bench after his hernia operation.

Sunderland RCA entertained Newton Aycliffe at Meadow Park for this  EBAC Northern League Division 1 fixture.

 

The RCA management team made two changes to the team that beat Whickham on Tuesday night, K Davis replaced McAloon and Charlton replaced Larkin. There was also a welcome return to the bench for Preston who returns from injury.

Sunderland RCA welcomed Whickham to Meadow Park for this Ebac Northern League encounter, the first between the two teams at Meadow Park since September 2009 when RCA ran out 3 – 0 winners.

RCA were forced to make changes due to an injury to Dylan Elliott during training on Saturday. His place was taken by Mark Davison and the reshuffle of the team saw O’Neill drop into midfield with Moan and Davison up front.

Sunderland RCA welcomed second placed Consett to Meadow Park for this Northern League encounter. RCA were looking to bounce back after last week’s defeat at Hebburn. The management team made four changes bringing in Anthony Patterson (on work experience from SAFC) for his debut in goal, there were also starts for Elliott, McAloon and Moan who replaced Pocklington, Preston (injured), Davison (injured) and Charlton.

Sunderland RCA travelled to Hebburn Town for this afternoon’s Northern League Division One fixture.

Going into the match, both sides were in good form in the league, with Hebburn unbeaten in their last five, including the remarkable 9-0 win at Whitley Bay a fortnight ago. RCA, meanwhile, are on a terrific run in the league, winning the last five matches, and moving up to sixth place in the league table in the process, and with the chance to match last season's fourth-place finish still very much in sight.

RCA made two changes to the side that won with a stoppage time goal at Newton Aycliffe - Michael Charlton and Mark Davison replaced Thomas McAloon and Dominic Moan, both of whom took places on the bench.

The two sides lined up as follows:

Sunderland RCA travelled to Moore Lane to play Newton Aycliffe in the rearranged EBAC Northern League division 1 fixture.

The RCA management team made only one change to the team that beat Bishops on Saturday, O’Neill replacing the injured Davison who failed a late fitness test.

Stephen Callen continued his rehabilitation with an extensive warmed up with the team prior to the match.

The visitors were undefeated in the league since 6 October, when we beat them 2 -1 at Heritage Park, a phenomenal record and one I am sure that Ian Chandler and his backroom staff are very proud of.
