New kits for 2019-20 season revealed

Submitted by Simon Mears on Monday, 13 May 2019

Our new 2019-20 kits can now be revealed, with something special added to each. For the home kit (below), we are supporting The Bradley Lowery Foundation, with the logo displayed on the right arm of the shirt.

For the away kit (below), we are supporting the If U Care Share Foundation, which is raising awareness in dealing with the prevention and intervention of suicide. Both fantastic causes, which we are honoured to be associated with.

Thanks to Farrellys Sports for the fantastic kit designs.

Many thanks also to Mohsen Hussein of Pizza Uno and Joe Olabode of PCI Services for their generous, ongoing support of RCA as main home and away shirt sponsors.

Captain signs up for next season

Greg Swansbury in action against South Shields during last season's Durham County Challenge Cup match.

Great news with captain Greg Swansbury tonight signing a contract with Sunderland RCA.

Greg has had some good offers since the end of season, but has committed his future with his home town club.

Manager Martin Swales had this to say: “Signing Greg is a great achievement for the club and is a statement of our intent for the coming season. Greg’s performances over the past few seasons have been nothing short of incredible and he’s a real leader on and off the pitch. I’ve always maintained that Greg and Ross Preston are the best centre backs in the league, and with teams from higher up in the pyramid chasing Greg, it just shows how highly he’s rated. A great lad, great player and a real leader.”

Yesterday’s cracking win over Penrith wasn't just the last match of the season, it was also Tim Robinson's final match as a volunteer at Sunderland RCA, although he will still be watching the lads from time to time as a supporter.

Over the last 12 years, Tim has made a significant contribution to RCA off the field - committee member; match reporter; club photographer; programme editor and contributor; secretarial work; social media contributor; clubhouse service assistant; club website creator, developer, administrator and contributor - and all done with complete professionalism.

From a personal point of view, Tim has taught me - from scratch - to produce photographs for the club, which has created an interest in photography for which I am, and shall remain, extremely grateful.

Thanks again, Tim.
