Very good game yesterday especially first 70 minutes. Credit to both sides in playing football the right way and hopefully supporters will be back for more. On that performance Stockton will be back next season as a first division side so good luck to them. Up next the Monday Vase draw and a game to look forward to in December. Away day please !

Dunston v Hemsworth has been postponed again for the third time. I was disappointed that the FA didn't insist on the tie going ahead last Saturday instead of Dunston's league game v West Allotment. Smells a bit to me.

In their wisdom, the FA has divided the 32 remaining clubs into two groups, 14 "North" and 18 "South", for the 4th round draw, which will take place tomorrow. The other "Northern" clubs, together with travelling distances for non-Northern League outfits, are:
Shildon
Morpeth Town
South Shields
Billingham Town
Cleethorpes Town 150 miles
Atherton Collieries 141 miles
A.F.C. Mansfield 135 miles
Bromsgrove Sporting 212 miles
Sporting Khalsa (Wolverhampton) 194 miles or Sleaford Town 162 miles
Coleshill Town 190 miles
Hinckley 181 miles
Shepshed Dynamo 164 miles
Peterborough Sports 191 miles.

Current odds to win the Vase outright show the CA as joint-10th favourites at 25/1, having shortened from 33/1 before the Dunston tie. South  Shields 3/1, Morpeth 6/1 and Shildon 6/1 head the list while Billingham Town are 7th favourites at 20/1.

All might change after today's draw for the 4th round though.
