New signings

Sunderland RCA are very pleased to welcome two new players to the club and the 2012-13 Northern League Division One campaign.

Andrew Appleby is a striker who is very quick, a goalscorer and works hard, defending from the front. His previous clubs include Whitby, Crook and Darlo.

Daniel Reeves is a central midfielder. Big and mobile, he is an all round top young player who has previously played at Horden and Hartlepool FC.

Two more pre-season matches

Two more pre-season matches have been scheduled.

RCA travel to Petershill FC in Glasgow for a 2:00pm kick off on Saturday, 21 July.

We are at home to Ryhope CW in the Allan Thompson Memorial Trophy on Saturday, 4 August, with a 3:00pm kick off.

2012-13 Northern League fixtures

The fixtures are out for a long and tough-looking Northern League Division 1 2012-13 season.

RCA kick off on Saturday, 18 August at home to Consett. The next match is away to new league arrivals Durham City. We begin September with an away trip to Celtic Nation FC, the new name for Carlisle based Gillford Park. The matches then come thick and fast, including away at the Bay, West Auckland at home before we entertain newly promoted Team Northumbria on 2 October. We end October with a visit to new league club Darlington FC 1883. Our Boxing Day match has a familiar feel to it: we are at home to South Shields.

Darlington FC 1883 and Durham City visit Meadow Park in January and February. We host newly promoted Hebburn Town in March. We finish off the season with some tough looking games away to Ashington and Bedlington and then home to Billingham Synthonia for the final match of the season.

Let's hope the weather does not play too much havoc with the best laid plans!
