Cemetery View - November 2009

No, just a few injuries coming together, the kind of blip all good clubs have, nothing to worry about, soon get back on track, just got to stay focused, take one game at a time, let everybody else worry about us; the full list from the book of football cliches, oh yes, oh, oh yes. If you get up here on a training night, you can hear them all at it, as the old heads get together and plot and plan for eventual victory; it's like Adolf in his bunker. Still it is a worry, nobody had Stokesley down as a big threat, although one thing you can say about AJ is that he is certainly big, and you could virtually guarantee he would get the goal when we went there. Never mind, two really tough ones coming up, might be really time to panic after the long ride out to Cumbria to play Whitehaven, looking forward to the after match hospitality though, half a bowl of lukewarm soup really sets you up for the ride home...

But at least the long planned members draw has got underway I see, but are there any surprises in the winners? No, I thought not. Not with Ozo organising it, no chance. Crowd of 25 and he manages to sell 400 raffle tickets, the man is a marvel, I would trust him with my wallet any day.

And what about the plan to rename Meadow Park? Sold to the highest bidder I've heard, so from Christmas there is every chance we will be playing at the Les Dodd @ Meadow Park Stadium, or is it that just a rumour fuelled by him turning up the other day and shaking hands all round? And he must be making a good few bob down there in deepest Surrey. Well, you heard it here first, just remember that...
