Club news 2010-11

The friendly game arranged for tomorrow night - Wednesday, 15 December - against Silksworth at Welfare Park, Blind Lane, Silksworth has been cancelled.

We are sorry to announce that both Sunderland RCA fixtures for this weekend - today's away match against Bishop Auckland and tomorrow's FA Sunday Cup game against Sandstone FC from Liverpool - are off.

Well, real frustration now as no games again for the forseeable future!

The first team game at Bishop Auckland really had little chance and we all hold our breath for a possible run out at South Shields on 27 December with a 1.00 pm kick off. The lads can get it out of their systems when they travel to Newcastle tonight for the Christmas Party.

The match against South Shileds FC due to take place Monday, 27 December 2010 has been postponed.

No great surprise given the conditions / weather forecast of more overnight freezing.

Happy New Year from all at Sunderland RCA FC

The Durham Challenge cup match against Gateshead has been re-arranged. It will now take place on Wednesday, 12 January 2011 at Gateshead Stadium Kick-Off 7.30pm

Weather permitting, the first match of 2010 will be Sunderland RCA FC v Ryhope CW FC in the Alan Thompson Memorial Cup on Monday, 3 January 2011 - 1:00pm at Meadow Park.

There will be a coach going down to Runcorn on Sunday, 9 January for the FA Sunday Cup match against Sandstone FC. Supporters are very welcome to come along. The coach leaves the Alexandra/Tavistock, Grangetown at 8:45am and returns at approximately 8:30pm.

Sunderland RCA The Barnes' game against Oyster Martyrs will take place at Heswall FC, Gayton Park, Wirrall, on Sunday, 23 January with a 1:00pm ko.

A coach leaves Alexandra/Tavistock Grangetown at 8:00am returns at approximately 7:45pm. All supporters are more than welcome, the more the merrier, to support the ONLY North East team left in the competition!

Please note that Sunderland RCA FC have agreed to play Whitley Bay FC at home on Monday, 7 February 2011.

This is the week before Whitley Bay FC take on Dunstable FC in the 5th round of the FA Vase.

We look forward to welcoming the Team, Committee and Fans on the night.

Keen-eyed readers of the latest edition of Northern Wisdom will have noticed that the four RCA first team fixtures that had not been arranged have now been given dates.

The season is currently extended by two weeks to Saturday, 23 April, when RCA will sign off the league season with a home match against Stokesley SC.

RCA's upcoming fixtures list is here.
