RCA Grangetown Florists played Myers twice in four days last week and honours finished even with one victory each.

First, on Thursday night Myers gave RCA Florists a good thumping, despite RCA Florists taking a lead after 10 minutes. From then on a catalogue of errors and superb finishing from Stephen Moody handed RCA Florists a 5-1 hammering, something that their display on the night fully deserved, despite some of their squad playing their fifth game in six days. Myers quickly equalised and went on to victory with four goals from Moody and one from Ryan Hodgson.

On Sunday RCA Florists started in the same vein and quickly went 2-0 down when the same two players put Myers on the way within 15 minutes of kick off. However RCA Florists' returning midfielder Richie Jordan decided enough was enough and produced an outstanding personal performance. He pulled a goal back before half time and then drove RCA Florists on in the second half. Gaz Hill equalised from close range, following up when Myers keeper Graham uncharacteristically spilled a Trewick shot and both sides went for the winner on the difficult windy, hard bouncy surface, dishing up some good football along the way.

However it was Jordan who would have the final say when after 85 minutes he produced an awkward cross that was deflected high in the air and fell into the far corner to put RCA Florists ahead 3-2 and they held on to secure the win.

Two good matches and three points apiece before heading off to the pub to see the Barcodes given a good drubbing. Happy days.
