Sunderland RCA FC are looking for a Youth Development Officer to coordinate their work within youth football, and to organise a new youth development team for the club from next year.
The club already has a strong and developing link with City of Sunderland College and their Football Development Centre, with the intention of providing a progression route into senior football for talented young players from the Sunderland area, and the new YDO will be expected to work closely with the Football Centre staff, as well as with our local schools, with whom we also work on football development. Sunderland RCA also has good existing links with a couple of local 16 and under clubs, again to provide a progression route for young players.
The post is unpaid but all expenses will be met, and the postholder will become an integral part of the coaching staff of the club, working closely with first team coaching and management staff to ensure a coherent football policy throughout the Club.
